This morning we had a chance to share our testimonies, talk about the Death Defeaters and give out some free screen printed tees and bibles to a Jr/Sr High audience during Chapel.

They allowed him to sing it twice, then let the ladder fall back so that the heretic
landed squarely on the fire. Sparks flew up everywhere, and some of the burning sticks
flipped out towered the crowed, causing some people to jump back out of the way.
But there in the flames, instead of screaming in pain, the heretic continued to sing until
he had no more breath. And then, as the fire burned through the cords that bound his
arms, he miraculously raised one hand towered heaven. it stayed there until it looked like
a charred branch from an old tree.

This man was put on trial for preaching in the local market place. He was called to death
by fire for heresy. While this man was being tied up a priest came to him and asked him to
repent and save his life. But the man just smiled and said,”Im sorry, Father I cannot unless I
am shown by God’s Word to be wrong”. Truth at any cost….

I cant say I know anybody who would go through with something like this. The fact is most
christians in this age are blind to the fact that we are disliked in this world. Yet they try so hard
to please the people of this world rather then pleasing Christ. I heard a quote today that really
stuck to me. “The gospel cannot be truly preached without offense and Tumult”.(disturbance)
This is a great quote. I can tell you by reading the gospels Jesus offended many people. In
Matthew 26:3 the priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people assembled at the place of the
high priest, who was called Caiaphas, and plotted to take Jesus by trickery and kill Him.
I think they were offended by the truth. The thunder before the storm (Saint John) was also put in
prison for his preaching and was also beheaded. (Matthew 14:3-12) Truth at any cost. The list
goes on. What Im trying to say here is that we shouldn’t worry about what people will say or who
we will offend when we share the gospel truth. We also should never try to be that cool christian
so that we can be excepted by the world. In my christian walk I have seen some pretty crazy things
that christians will do to fit in with the rest of the world. Churches turning there sanctuaries in to night
clubs. Music pushing the buttons on there lyrics I have even heard some of them cursing. I have
never put christian music in its own genre I believe music is music you either do it for God or you don’t.
Colossians 3 please take the time to read it. Paul says in verse 23 And whatever you do, do it
heartily, as to the Lord and not to men, This has drawn many of my friends away from me even some
family. But I will continue to do what God has called me to do. It Doesn’t mean Im right and your wrong
it just means Im being obedient to to my Master. (Matthew 16:24) Then Jesus said to His disciples,
“If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.

PEACE IF POSSIBLE, BUT TRUTH AT ANY COST.

I’ve been holding on to this scripture, constantly thinking about it. Remaining in a spirit of gratefulness. This really isn’t going to be a profound post, just common sense. We tend to get down on our knees and cry out to God when times are rough. Even an unbeliever will mutter the words “pray” when times aren’t going so well. As soon as that season of pain is over, we return to a life where prayer is lacking or sometimes non existent. We so easily forget where we came from and who delivered us, when times are good. That was long winded, so in summary, remember the height in which you have fallen. Remember who brought you deliverance, the one you cried out to. Jesus.
